Quick History

Devoss came to Eorzea many summers ago, seeking for a new life as she exiled herself from her home, the Golmore Jungle also known as the Spiritwood. To this day she has regrets of leaving her home since she feels that she could’ve been helped with her disability and to stay within the Spiritwood.Devoss’s senses were dulled when she was born. Therefore she wasn’t able to interact with the elements within her village and wasn’t able to discern the Wood’s voice within the Spiritwood. Due to many misunderstandings, assumptions that Devoss thought about what others thought of her, and being envious towards others, it came to the point that she thought leaving her village would be the best thing for her. She made friends and had family that loved her and were willing to help her in any way possible.When it was revealed to the Matron of the village that Devoss wasn’t able to hear any of the Wood’s blessings. She thought for sure the Matron would exile her from the Spiritwood. Before the Matron could even have the chance to speak with her, she had left her home and ventured outside. The tragic part is that the Matron had intentions to assist her to gain a stronger connection to the wood, not to exile her. But since Devoss by choice has left the Spiritwood, she is not allowed to ever come back.
